Official Rules of Fort Greene Park
OFF-LEASH TIME IS NOW ON THE BOOKS! However, it is up to each Park manager to decide if an area can be designated as an off-leash area. Please TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your dog's actions. Only responsible dog ownership will ensure continued off-leash time. *If you want to have your dog off-leash during other hours, you may want to visit Brooklyn Heights, where there are two 24/7 dog runs: Hillside Park (Columbia Heights & Middagh Streets) or Palmetto Playground (Columbia Place and State Street.) Visit http://www.nycgovparks.org/facilities/dogruns#brooklyn for a listing of all New York City dog runs. Another alternative is Prospect Park, where the hours for off-leash recreation have been extended. Visit www.fidobrooklyn.com for more info about these rules in Prospect Park.
